Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is breathing 100% medical grade (MG) oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure while in either a single user (monoplace) or a multiple person (multiplace) chamber. These chambers are used in the SCUBA diving industry for decompressing after a deep dive or when a diver has decompression sickness (bends).
The Arizona Legislature has approved Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) Program for Veterans with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and selected PTSD conditions. After unanimous approval, the law was signed by Governor Ducey on March 29, 2018. Arizona joins Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana and Kentucky in recognizing the efficacy of HBOT to treat TBI and PTSD.
The facility will be open 7 days per week and will be open to the public to treat everyone with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for over 70 different conditions.
